📝 Key Requirements for Business Name Registration

Before logging into eCitizen, ensure you have the following information and documents ready. They must be legible and in a format suitable for online upload (usually PDF or JPEG).
Requirement Description
1.Proposed Business Names-A minimum of three (3) unique names a maximum of 5 numbers, listed in order of preference for the system to check availability.
2.KRA PIN Certificate -Copy of the Proprietor’s/Partner’s KRA PIN Certificate.
3.National ID/Passport Copy of the Proprietor’s/Partner’s National Identification Card (or Passport for non-citizens).
4.Passport Photo(s)Recent, clear digital passport-size photo(s) of the Proprietor/s.
5.Physical Address DetailsPhysical location, postal address, and contact information for the registered office.
6.Fees-The official fee for registration of a Business Name is generally Kshs. 950/- (subject to change by BRS).
