Our Story

In January of 2019, Monarch Designers was born in a small space in Kasarani–Mwiki, armed with a single desk, one creative vision, and a determination to turn ideas into impact.

What began as a cyber cafe, quickly grew into a trusted community hub for reliable digital services, design and branding service for small local businesses. Over the years, we’ve adapted to changing markets, expanded into new services, and weathered challenges — from working as a solo-preneur, to introducing completely new revenue streams.

Today, Monarch Designers is a bridge between creativity, technology, and community growth.

What We Do Today

We have grown far beyond our early days. Our services now include:

1. Custom Branding & Merchandise — T-shirts, jerseys, mugs, keychains, leather goods, vinyl prints, and more for businesses, events, and personal use.

2. Digital Services — Cyber café, graphic design, marketing solutions, and digitized government services.

3. Skill Development — Affordable monthly training in advanced computer skills, data analysis, and AI literacy.

4. Community Connectivity — Outdoor Wi-Fi nodes providing affordable internet access to residents.


Our Scaling Strategy

We are building Monarch Designers 2.0 — a franchise-ready creative-tech hub model that blends physical services with digital platforms.

Our plan includes:

1. Franchise-Standard Model — Perfect our flagship location, streamline SOPs, maintain brand consistency.

2. Community-Centric Internet Services — Expand outdoor Wi-Fi coverage with licensed high-capacity access points, integrate solar & battery backup, partner with local institutions.

3. Digital Community Intranet & Loyalty Program — A platform with exclusive content, challenges, and rewards via branded merchandise.

4. Training & Employment Pipeline — Train locals in creative, tech, and business skills, then integrate them as staff or managers.


Our Future Vision

We envision a Nairobi — and eventually Kenya — dotted with Monarch Designers hubs, each buzzing with printers, screens, workshops, and conversations.
